Known as LDS Ling Dynamic Systems until April 2004, LDS has been growing for a decade to become the leading supplier of electrodynamic vibration test systems. LDS serves manufacturers of automobiles, aerospace, military and consumer electronics and white goods - as well as independent test laboratories - providing products for accurate, efficient, and reliable product vibration testing.

More and more customers today are looking for totally integrated test and measurement solutions. Starting with the acquisition of real data in the field through simulation and test, to frequency and time domain analysis, followed by automated report generation.

With the acquisition of Dactron Instruments in April 2001 LDS acquired some of the world's finest shaker controllers and dynamic signal analyzers. With the acquisition of Nicolet Technologies and Gould Instruments in late 2003 LDS added capabilities for high-speed multi channel data acquisition, portable data recording, digital oscilloscopes and related products that are extensively used in industrial and medical research applications. This was a significant step forward in our aim to become a global supplier of fully integrated solutions for the Physical Test and Measurement market. This is why we have chosen to change our name: together we are moving forward as one integrated company - LDS Test and Measurement.
